This portable system can be used at any location to quickly and accurately identify different metal bases for verification of materials to be used in  manufacturing and industrial applications.

Syntactic foam is composite materials synthesized by filling a metal, polymer, or ceramic matrix with hollow particles called microballoons. Current applications for syntactic foam include buoyancy modules for marine riser, remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs), autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), and deep sea exploration.

Buoyancy for drilling riser plays a critical role in the dynamic performance of the riser string and often times becomes damaged during handling from vessel to land, vessel to vessel or in service due to the extreme loading conditions cause by inclement weather during drilling, recovery, or deployment process of the riser systems.

Services Offered:

Perform repairs to Syntactic Foam Module Sections, Buoys, Fiberglass tanks, Composite equipment, Recycling of Module Sections for Disposal

Ram Design offers a fully comprehensive repair service for damaged buoyancy modules in all categories from minor skin damage to laser repair of full breaks circumferential or longitudinal and reconstruction of missing portions that may be missing.

Our skilled technicians are highly experienced in all phases of repairs of every manufactures of riser buoyancy currently on the market today. We are also capable of providing field work at remote locations worldwide.
